Warmth in Fall

In the grey days of fall,
leaves keep hitting the ground,
while the tree keeps standing tall,
a safe haven for others to be found.

This home for happy squirrels,
will keep them forever warm,
when clouds cry and wind whirls,
in this tree new bonds will form.

And when the days turn bright,
some animals will leave their home,
but will keep the tree in sight,
afraid that it will go roam.

Yes, I am happy to have such a tree,
My little home, of which I hope it forever to be.
